Symmetry is a key component of sound design. King riders have, for years, paired our headsets with our bottom brackets and hubs, to provide a few, classy pops of color to their bikes. But that left them with no off-setting visual cue at the top of the bike to make the look more symmetrical. The Velo Orange Grand Cru seatpost is made from one piece of aluminum, internally ovalized to trim weight. The Grand Cru seatpost’s head is integral with the post – not pressed on – for great strength and weight savings. 0mm Setback: Zero-setback/offset posts are commonly used on mountain bikes and by some bikepackers. The Grand Cru zero setback post uses a one-bolt, ergonomic side-adjustment mechanism for both saddle rail clamping and fore-aft adjustment. 30.2mm Setback: For riders who prefer the comfort of leather saddles but have found proper saddle placement difficult due the short rails on leather saddles Velo Orange offers the Grand Cru Long Setback with an ample 30.2mm of setback. Please note: this is a seat post and does not include a seat. We worked with the fine folks at Kinekt to create this seat post package designed specifically for JackRabbits. This seat post can support riders who weigh from 80-320lbs (36-145kg) and for taller riders from 5'2" to 6'6" (versus the 4'10" to 6'2" range of our stock seat post). The diameter of this seat post is 27.2mm (the same as our stock seat post) and the length is 350mm. This makes the seat able to go higher than our normal seat, which is useful when sitting on the Kinekt because the suspension causes the seat to lower when body weight is applied to it.
